To keep your gel nails looking fresh and fabulous:
- Avoid using your nails as tools (no opening cans!)
- Apply cuticle oil or moisturiser daily to keep your nails and skin hydrated
- Wear gloves when doing chores like washing dishes to protect your manicure.
With a little TLC, your gel nails can last even longer!
To remove a peel off gel manicure or pedicure simply pick at an edge and peel away. To avoid damaging your nail it is best to start at the base or side of your nail and peel towards the tip. For easiest removal that is most gentle to your nails, soften gel by soaking nails in warm water, running under a warm tap, or in the bath or shower before peeling.
To remove your soak-off manicure, start by gently buffing the surface of your nails to break the seal of the top coat. Then, soak your nails in acetone using either a Soak Off Removal Wrap or a cotton ball soaked in acetone wrapped in foil. Let your nails soak for 10-15 minutes. Use a cuticle stick or triangle polish remover tool to gently push the polish away from the nail, starting at the base near the cuticle. If the polish doesn’t peel off easily, allow your nails to soak a bit longer. Once removed, gently buff away any residue, and finish by moisturizing your nails and cuticles.

The longevity of your manicure depends on how well your nails are prepared, the application technique, and the daily wear and tear your nails experience. Typically, peel-off manicures can last up to 10 days, while soak-off manicures may last up to 3 weeks. Remember, results can vary from person to person, and it might take a few tries to perfect your technique.
Pedicures however can last much longer! It is likely you will only need to remove and redo pedicures when your nails have grown out and are needing a trim!
To extend the life of your peel-off manicure, try applying a thin layer of Soak Off Base Coat just to the tips of your nails before your regular peel-off base coat. This simple step helps prevent lifting at the edges, ensuring your nails stay perfect for longer while still being gentle on your nails.
